Along with teaching in wisdom from the Lord, we are to maintain
discipline and Godly character in the classroom. The Word of God instructs us on how to accomplish this. Please go over these verses with your children, as we will refer to them as needed.
Our co-op is comprised of many various ages in one small setting, grades K-12. It is important for all of our students to understand the importance and value of one another. Our setting allows us to be good Christian friends towards one another and to be good examples to our younger peers.
Prov. 17:17 "A friend loves at all times."
1 Timothy 4:12 "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity."
Each classroom will post a set of rules, rewards and consequences. We encourage positive reinforcement such as praise, encouragement, notes home, phone calls, material rewards, etc. There are times, however, when consequences must be enforced. For example, warnings, rearrangement of seating, notes or phone calls home, time out, administrative warning, etc. If a student refuses to complete assignments or uphold proper classroom behaviors, he/she may be asked to leave the co-op, without a refund. This is only to ensure a safe, positive learning environment to our other students. We need parental involvement to make this co-op a success. Thank you!
