WHAT WILL OUR SEMESTER PROJECT BE THIS FALL?
"SCENES OF HISTORY"
This semester, we are going to do something completely different. You will need to think of a favorite event from history and create a 3-dimensional scene. You can do a battle scene, a country village, a medieval castle with people working...whatever interests you. So, start thinking about what you might want to do. See you this Fall!!
In the past, we have done International Day, Famous People Day, Animal Day and Wonders of the Bible.
WOW!!! International Day was so much fun. The students chose a country at the beginning of the semester and then brought in their displays from around the world: posters, food, music, dress, and even a few live snakes, iguanas and chickens! We set up the whole hallway with International "stuff". One parent commented that it was like going down Epcot Lane. What a fun day it was.
Famous People Day was a blast from the past! Everyone chose a famous person from the past or presently living to do a project on. They brought in displays to fill the halls. They all dressed up like their "famous person". We had all sorts of people roaming the halls: Benjamin Franklin, Betsy Ross, Ronald Reagan, Neil Armstrong, Lionel Cowen...to name a few. Our students learned a great deal, and so did we.
Wonders of the Bible Day was simply wonderful. The students brought in projects covering so many aspects of the Bible. Plus kids dressed up, brought in food and even played movies. What a blessing it was!
OUR SICK POLICY:
There are many yucky illnesses out there now and we want to do our best to keep our students healthy. We ask that if your family has been exposed to the flu, rhotovirus, strep throat, etc. to NOT bring your child to class. It is unfair to expose the rest of the children and the staff to these illnesses. We will have the students wash their hands frequently as well. Please help us to keep our co-op healthy! Thank you!
WEEKLY EVENTS:
Each week, the students will be given a small assignment of something to bring in to the co-op or to wear. Some are silly, some are serious. This is not required, but it sure is a lot of fun!!

This will also help us to raise a little extra money for certificates and rewards for different events or projects. We also sell T-shirts with "CHoSEN Homeschool Co-op" written on them.
